C:\WINDOWS\system32\x Win32/Conficker.A worm

23 Oct

I’m using ESET Internet Security and found so many Conficker on my laptop.. It’s like this:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\x Win32/Conficker.A worm
C:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OPY38PIV\ptct[1].jpg Win32/Conficker.A worm

virus

and so many of them. I delete with the antivirus, buat it keep show up on my antivirus notification.

Solution:

  1. Download the Microsoft MS08-067 Critical System Patch from here and install. You need to reboot after installation.
  2. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti Malware from here. It’s the FREE edition.
  3. Install on your computer.
  4. Turn off your System Restore.
  5. Update and run the program.
  6. Full Scan your computer. In my case the virus found in the registry

    Registry Data Items Infected:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

  7. Reboot your system to complete the virus removal.

      I used to use symantec endpoint protection but can’t remove it. You can just use the antimalware. Its free.
